Being a first time mammy was definitely overwhelming. Even being on maternity leave felt the same as working and not having enough hours in the day to do everyrhing that was needed to keep the house running as well as caring for my little Mia.
Time flew by where this one year went i dont even know but through the journey i found things that really helped make life easier with a little one. Having advice from friends and family who were recent new parents within the last 15 years was great and helped us save in many areas.

The first month I found the most difficult, having had a C- section, recovery and caring for a newborn. It's during this time my husband spent driving back and forth to the shops for various items we didn't realise we needed. It's the smallest of things that get missed.
This is our way of helping anyone who was in or will be in our position with a package that has everything you need in that 1st crucial month where mammy is recovering and daddy is struggling with sleepless nights. I know for sure I wish I had this when we had Mia but we will for our 2nd little one due in October.

When I first became a dad, it was overwhelming trying to balance work life and becoming a dad which is why we created this page. Being a father is not easy, it’s a full time job as is being a mother. Sometimes your wife will need a pick me up so she knows she’s doing an incredible job, so don’t be afraid of leaving baby with your parents for an hour or two so you and the other half can spend some quality time together. It’s all about balance.
One thing to remember is that other parents will always have a “better solution” like “you should be doing this and you should be doing that, oh but I do this and that”. Every baby is different, all you need to do is to do what’s best for YOUR baby. You know them better than anyone else!
